Let's start with post optimization. Open a post and start with SEO Control Center widget.
This is the first step for your SEO enhancement.
First, define the keywords you will be managing/addressing in this post. One or two keywords will be enough.

As soon as you add you will be given usage statistics for the keywords. Now you can start writing the post. The usage statistics will update frequently. Try to use keywords in the post title and keep the keyword usage between 3-5%. The keyword cards will identify whether you are doing good on the safe side or not.

It is also important, for example, to have the keywords used evenly in the post. To see the distribution use the location pointer either from SEO Control Center or from the content editor toolbar.

It is also a good practice to write a description of your post in the beginning, that will be a good reference for you when writing the post (so that you keep the story on track). The description will be used as the meta-description and will accordingly be shown in SERP's. Make sure it is convertible.

This is the minimal optimization that should be performed for each post.

Now let's continue with advanced SEO settings. Get to the widget Advanced SEO and navigate to the General tab.

By default the title you write for the post will be the one that will be visible in SERPs. But the title is not always as good or as convertible as it should be. For example, you will summarize the topic, but there is no action or emotion in it, therefore when people see the title in SERPs, maybe, they won't click on it. In those cases it is recommended to define a different title that will be used for SERPs. Use the field SEO Title.

When the reporting or copy-blogging curation scenario is used, which means most of your content is the quotation or the borrowed content, then it will make no sense to define this post as your own. It will, in any case, rank quite low. Here you should save the rank of your blog altogether. Define the canonical path and point to the original post. This will make sure you still have the post for your visitors, but get no SEO at the same time.

When you refer to low ranking or not relevant pages that will bring no value to your users, in those cases it's recommended to use robots must follow links to set to no follow.

When you have private pages, private data, not relevant data, anything you want to have in your blog, but that shall never appear in SERPs, then use robots must index this page to no index. By default search engines like Google will "index" and the page will appear in SERPs.

The ideal configuration for reporting or copy-blogging curation scenario is to set up the canonical path, no follow and no index. These settings are set and locked in case "clone post" is used.

Navigate to tab Social. Here you define how your post looks when someone shares your post. Define title and description. The short description is used for Twitter.
